Hello everyone. I am a South African visiting Berlin for a few days and was hoping to be introduced to some German mushrooms. I ventured out to Grunewald (not having a motorcar to go further and spotting it on a map as easy to access via public transport) and found a lovely Cauliflower Fungus (what I see is here called Hen?) but nothing else really.
In Cape Town we recently discovered beautiful morels (it is spring there) and I am sad to miss the best of the picking season so would love to make up for it here.
I attach some pictures of the Hen I found in Grunewald and a few of the Cape morels just for interest.
I would love to join someone on an excursion if anyone is interested in showing a foreigner around, I am available tomorrow all day, mornings this weekend and perhaps Monday and Tuesday next week. I am staying today in Berlin central and then in Friedrichshain from Tuesday but am happy to travel with public transport anywhere. Many thanks!
